Our aim at TBWA\Sri Lanka is to offer disruptive and successful branch campaigns to our clients. In this regard we partner with Tequila, an agency with specialised and practical knowledge of ground-level activations. Tequila as an entity, oversees all ground activations, where they meet, communicate and educate consumers on a one-to-one basis and relay back vital findings that helps to formulate a brand’s future strategy.

Renuka Marshall
Managing Director
Managing Director

Advertising runs in Renuka’s family. Her mother was a well-known figure amongst the Sri Lankan advertising community, and with such a role model Renuka’s foray into her present career was a natural one.

Renuka took on the role as Head of the Agency in (year) whilst holding a Diploma in Marketing from CIM UK, and an MBA from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura. Within the agency she wears many hats as a leader, strategist, negotiator, motivator, and challenger. These qualities, along with the trait of pushing her people to always stay relevant to the present market dynamics have kept the agency team on their toes for decades whilst creating long-lasting partnerships with many clients including Prima, AIA Insurance, and the Australian Customs & Border Protection Service to name a few and wins at local and international award shows.

When she is not “disrupting” Renuka is happiest in the wild, camera in hand, taking pictures that remind us of the beauty of nature.

Graham Marshall

Business acumen is found in abundance in Graham who began his professional career in 1989, which evolved into several corporate roles, and now to the present as the Director of TBWA\Sri Lanka and Incube Digital Consortium.

Graham holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, Chartered Institute of Marketing UK and a Certified Balanced Scorecard Professional of the Balanced Scorecard Institute, Australia. His qualifications are matched only by his work experience that spans over 25 years at leading multinationals, namely, CIC Paints (DULUX) as the Head of Brand and Marketing Management, Kodak Singapore as the Country Business Head - Sri Lanka & Maldives, and Glaxo Wellcome as the Marketing Manager-Consumer Healthcare. His tenure at each of these global organizations has equipped him with expertise across categories ranging from consumer durables to healthcare to industrial chemicals; experience that make him a valuable contributor to a brand’s forward trajectory.

Graham’s spare time is spent with his family or in pursuit of fitness activities, which include cycling, trekking and martial arts.

Soru as he is most popularly known, joined TBWA\Sri Lanka as Chief Creative Officer in 2018, bringing with him nearly 30 years of experience in the advertising industry.A strategic thinker and a brand builder, Soru, is a gentle soul. He graduated with a specialized BSc. in Visual Communications specializing in Advertising from Loyola College in India.Soru’s career started at JWT Sri Lanka and he rose through the ranks to Associate Creative Director within a short span of time. He then gained experience as an Executive Creative Director cum Managing Director in a local advertising agency in Doha. Soru moved back to Sri Lanka as the Head of Creative at Ogilvy Outreach and afterwards lead the creative teams as Executive Creative Director at LOWE Lintas (Mullenlowe at present) and later Geometry Global.
During his tenure, Soru has spearheaded effective and memorable campaigns for local and international brands including Unilever, Nestle, GSK, Pepsi, Fonterra, Hayleys, Dialog, Maliban, CTC, HSBC, Caltex, Elephant House, Commercial Bank, to name a few.
Soru’s creative leadership has won five awards at Spikes Asia, two Dragons of Asia Awards, and one ADC award along with many wins at locally held Effies, Chillies, and Epica Sri Lanka awards.

Ahmed T. Hassan

Ahmed joined TBWA\Sri Lanka in 2019 as the Head of Client Servicing. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree (Marketing) from the University of Bedfordshire (UK), a diploma in IT, and an ‘A-Z in Client Servicing’ from the Sri Lanka Professional Advertising and Creativity School along with a Preliminary Certificate in Marketing from Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing. Ahmed brings with him a wealth of experience, a friendly nature and a ‘never say die’ attitude.

His knowledge on building brands has stemmed from his experience throughout his career. Ahmed has led brand teams to create positive impacts on the local market with a multitude of Sri Lanka’s best loved brands such as Dialog, Unilever Sri Lanka (HHC Brands), Nutricia Cow&Gate, Softlogic Life, Samsung Sri Lanka, Elephant House, Sri Lanka Telecom, LOLC, Ceylinco Insurance, People’s Bank and Hemas (Fems) to name a few; a talent which has earned him awards for creativity and effectiveness.

At leisure, Ahmed is a man of many interests, cricket, rugby, cycling, travelling, music and gaming are just some of them.

Shiran’s expertise lies in consumer engagement. A quality he has continuously developed over the past 12 years as a professional in the field. With an additional talent to motivate and engage others in a positive manner Shiran is able to see a brands’ objective to fruition. As an extremely goal-oriented individual, Shiran has seen his past projects for consumer engagement programs for local government, private & MNC's reach great success; these projects include The President House, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Sports, Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Police, GlaxoSmithKline, Toyota, Facebook, Unilever, Nestle, Elephant House, HSBC, Dialog to name a few.

Shiran enjoys traveling and connecting with people in his free time.

Eranga Hemajith

Eranga began his career in advertising in 2007. Holding a M.Sc. in Mass Communication from Asia e University-Malaysia, and a Diploma in Cinematography from the National Film Corporation, Eranga is well-versed in all the integral aspects of creating a piece of communication which is of the highest quality. During his tenure at Leo Burnett (Publicis Group), he has gathered experience by working with local and global clients. His portfolio includes high profile clients such as Sri Lanka Telecom, Etisalat, Hutch, Commercial Bank, DFCC Bank, Union Bank, Sri Lankan Airlines, Sri Lanka Insurance, Hemas, and Cargills along with multinationals such as Nestle, Coca Cola, and Burger King to name a few. Eranga spends his spare time perfecting his craft, to-date he has produced a Sri Lankan documentary film and a Canadian feature film. He is currently working on another feature film, which is his own creation.

Kasun Tennakoon

In 2004, Kasun graduated with a Bachelor of Honors Degree and a first class in Communication & Graphic Design from the University of Moratuwa. Thereafter in 2005, he joined Ogilvy Outreach and began his career in the advertising industry. His 17 years within the advertising fraternity has exposed him to an array of local and multinational clients, which have resulted in many successful creative campaigns.

Kasun’s creative work has also won him accolades, which includes Dragons of Asia, Effie awards, and Chilie awards. He has also served as a judge for Dragons of Asia in 2019. His love for his chosen vocation is best expressed by his words “I am motivated by the realization that what I do can bring about real and positive change in the world, for the clients, their brands and humanity as a whole.”

When he is not thinking of creative campaigns Kasun spends his time in world of classic cars, especially mini coopers.
